My father gave me his 1950 Martin 00-17 acoustic guitar when I was a teenager in the 1960s. The first thing I did was to add a cheap electric pick-up so I could play in a band. Not aware of the storied history of Martin guitars, I did not treat it with the respect it deserved. Eventually the neck warped, the bridge became worn, and tuner buttons crumbled all of which made it difficult to play so I put it away for about 25 years. I recently brought it to Brandon to be refurbished. This included resetting the neck in addition to multiple other minor repairs. The result was unbelievable. I suspect it sounds as good as when new in the 1950s and it is now treated with the respect it deserves. Brandon is a remarkable artist and we are very fortunate to have him in this area. He explains all potential repairs in detail and I believe his prices are very reasonable.
"I brought my Martin 0000-28V Custom to Brandon for a setup, the factory setup from Martin was way to high. Brandon asked me about my playing style, what I was looking for as to play-ability, and best of all, took the time to listen and answer all of my questions and concerns. I received the guitar back within four hours! The guitar plays like butter, the neck is fast and the action is nice and low without any fret buzz. Being as this was my first time meeting and using Brandon's Luthier skills, I was a bit hesitant, but the closest Luther from my home is 70 miles. Best decision I have ever made. I received the guitar back just as I wanted it setup, and in turn, saved a lot of time and money by not having to going elsewhere. I will be referring Brandon to my friends, and I will most definitely use his services again."
”No one has ever made my guitars play like Brandon Evans. As a touring pro, I cannot tolerate anything less that excellence in my guitar set-up. I have been using other techs for years and after trying Brandon I noticed a huge improvement in playability and intonation. He just nails it. Combine his tech excellence with his incredible level of service and he has me as a life long customer.”

“Top notch all the way! I was offered knowledgeable advice on modifications, and am delighted with the top quality work and care of my Martin 000-28 and Gibson J45 custom. Wouldn't let anyone else tinker with them!"
"Brandon is the best around. I can't even begin to express what a talent Brandon is. As a touring musician, I know I can depend on my guitars when they are set-up, modified or repaired by not just anyone but THE best! He is also a pretty cool dude. I recommend him above all! He is above and beyond industry standard and treats every guitar as if its his own!"
"Great service done on mine and my bandmates' guitars. I would highly recommend Brandon to the beginning musician and long-time professional alike!"

"My bass sounds and plays incredible. Electronics work, new jack and a proper set up for the dropped tuning. It's been a month of Sundays since I've played the Musicman, now I can't set it down. I'm like a kid on Christmas. I highly recommend him to all my brothers and sisters in arms. If you've bought a stringed instrument and never had a luthier look it over, you are not getting the most out of it. End of story."
